Greg and Elaine Fedchak are accomplished artists and active community members in Boonville, New York. Elaine Fedchak has performed as an organist at the Forestport Presbyterian Church since 1987. In the past, she has held various data analysis and programming positions, including cryptanalyst for the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, Maryland. She worked as an information assurance and cybersecurity professional at SRC, Inc., from 2017to 2024. Greg, meanwhile, is an award-winning newspaper columnist and novelist. His books include The Broccoli Eaters, Love Among the Tomatoes, and The Monk’s Love Potion. His weekly newspaper earned the Best Column in a Weekly Newspaper award from the New York Press Association.

Greg Fedchak studied government at St. Lawrence University, graduating cum laude with honorary marks in political science, philosophy, and religious studies, while Elaine graduated summa cum laude with degrees in math and art history. They were both members of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. When they are not performing music or writing, they garden together, with a focus on African violets. They formerly operated a sheep farm together, and Elaine continues to spin and knit wool from their sheep.
